FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is Sueify a law firm?

No. Sueify offers general self-help information, not legal advice or representation. Using the site does not create an attorney-client relationship.

What can I do on Sueify today?

Create an account, save and edit private case records, manage your profile, read dispute resources, and download a preparation worksheet. AI letters, file uploads, payments, mailing, and filing are not active yet.

What kinds of disputes can I prepare for?

Common money disputes include unpaid invoices, security deposits, faulty repairs, broken agreements, vehicle damage, and refunds owed. Whether a claim belongs in small claims court depends on your court’s rules and the facts.

Does it work in my state?

The state directory covers all 50 states and Washington, D.C. It directs you to official court resources; it does not replace your local court’s rules or provide verified forms for every jurisdiction.

What is a demand letter?

A demand letter explains the dispute, the amount or action requested, and a response deadline. It is not a court order, and sending one does not start a lawsuit.

Do I have to send a demand before filing?

Some jurisdictions or types of claims require a demand or other pre-filing steps. Check the official instructions for your claim and court rather than assuming one rule applies everywhere.

What if the other side doesn’t respond?

Keep a copy of your correspondence and delivery records. Consider further discussion, mediation, or whether a court claim is appropriate. You must check filing deadlines and local rules yourself; Sueify does not file for you.

What evidence should I gather?

Keep agreements, invoices, receipts, payment records, messages, photographs, and a dated timeline. Preserve original files and organize copies. Only use evidence you are entitled to access.

Will certified mail serve a lawsuit?

Mailing a demand letter is different from formally serving a lawsuit. Certified mail is not automatically valid service. Your court determines who can serve the papers and which methods are allowed.

Are the prices final?

Starter is Free. The proposed Demand Letter ($29) and Certified Send ($49) prices are provisional. Paid plans cannot be purchased yet. Final prices and terms will be shown before checkout is enabled.

Can I get a refund?

Sueify is not accepting payments yet. A purchase-specific refund policy will be available before paid services launch. There is no current purchase or mailing to refund.

Is my preparation worksheet saved?

No. The worksheet stays in the current page while you use it. Sueify does not save or submit it; refreshing or leaving the page may clear it. Download your notes if you want to keep them.

Can Sueify guarantee I’ll get paid?

No. A letter may not lead to payment, a court may reject a claim, and collecting a judgment may require additional steps. No recovery or result is guaranteed.

I received a letter. What should I do?

Read it carefully, verify who sent it, preserve records, and consider responding to the sender. A private demand is not a court judgment. If you receive court papers, check their deadlines promptly and consider legal help.
